Orbit Group has appointed Baroness Blackstone as its new chair.
The Baroness, who is a life peer in the House of Lords and was vice chancellor of the University of Greenwich from 2004 to 2011, takes over from Liz Potter, who is retiring.
A key focus for Baroness Blackstone will be guiding the implementation of Orbit's seven-year 2020 strategy.
Baroness Blackstone is also chair of Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and of the Board of the British Library.
