As many parts of North West Durham experienced the recent snow fall, a group of volunteers joined together to ensure elderly and vulnerable residents were kept safe.   The ‘Snow Angels’ initiative was set up by the Council for Volunteer Services to clear paths of snow and provide access to those who were unable to get out of their homes.  The volunteers were joined by social landlord, Derwentside Homes and the Young Fire Fighters last weekend after heavy snowfalls over County Durh...
