Halton Housing Trust has started work to build 22 affordable family homes in Runcorn.
The £1.8 million development on the site of a disused church on Russell Road will bring much needed two and three bedroom homes to the area by autumn 2013.
In partnership with Liverpool based MCI Developments, a total of 22 homes will be built and funded by the Trust and the Homes and Communities Agency.
