Residents in Tameside took a break from decorating their trees this week to watch them flying over their houses instead. Four overgrown trees were lifted 70ft into the air by a special crane after being removed from the rear gardens of homes on Fairfield Road in Droylsden. The operation which took months of careful planning took six hours to complete with residents being served up bacon butties and hot drinks while it took place.
