Homes on the Moston Hill estate in North Manchester are to benefit from a £2 million energy efficiency upgrade.
Almost 160 properties will be given external insulation after Manchester City Council and its ALMO Northwards Housing won a government bid to lower carbon emissions.
Northwards - which manages around 13,500 homes for the council - hopes to finish the work by March. Some of the properties will also have their boilers replaced and top-up loft insulation fitted.
