Halton Housing Trust is offering to pay course fees for unemployed customers to help kick start their careers.
As part of its employment project, the Trust is keen to help people gain the skills and qualifications needed to find work. Customers who work part time can also apply.
Lawrence Fulton, 52, is the first person to take advantage of the funding by starting a Level Two course in Professional Cookery at Riverside College.
