The number of council/housing association households that are workless has fallen for the second year in a row, according to figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS). The ONS figures - which look at households where no adult aged 16 to 64 is in work – show that there were 80,000 fewer council/housing association households that were workless in 2012 with the figure now at 1.5 million.
