Chancellor George Osborne has been urged by the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) to adopt a four-point plan to deliver 100,000 new and refurbished homes across the market and affordable rented sector. The organisation has written to the Chancellor explaining how such a move could generate £5.7 billion of economic activity and support 24,000 jobs each year.
