Warrington Housing Association Ltd was formed in 1975. It is constituted as a non profit distributing Industrial and Provident Society and registered with the Housing Corporation. A Board, of 12 Voluntary members is refreshed regularly through public and stakeholder recruitment and election. The Association provides over 1200 affordable homes mainly for rent but some for shared ownership. Additionally it provides community facilities, offices and other related services in Warrington. Most staff are based in a single town centre office, several sheltered housing schemes for older people have site based managers. Improving outcomes for people; tenants, local residents, staff and the wider community is central to the Association’s work. In addition to consistent excellent performance across it’s core housing activities the Association plays a lead role in community, partnership and regeneration initiatives. The Association owned GATEWAY resource centre brings together some 30 partner organisations to provide a vibrant community hub for Warrington’s Town Centre. Four times recognised Investor in People the Association was recognised an Investor in Excellence in Feb 2006. Committed to continuous improvement in all aspects of its work it believes ‘Business Excellence’ to be the best and most comprehensive tool available to help it make its homes and Warrington a great place to live.
