So much more than just a landlord

‘It’s our property, but the tenant’s home’ Created in January 1991, following the purchase of the housing stock owned by Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council, Russet Homes was one of the first Large Scale Voluntary Transfer (LSVT) Housing Associations. Russet Homes own and manages over 6,600 properties, including 11 sheltered schemes, making them the largest provider of rented social housing within the Tonbridge & Malling borough. There are also significant numbers of homes in the Maidstone area. Since 1991 we have built 1,000 new homes, invested £67.5 million in repairs and over £24 million in home and environmental improvements. 99.5 per cent of our homes already meet the Government’s decent homes standard, well ahead of the 2010 deadline. Since October 2007 Russet Homes has been part of the Circle Anglia Group and has an active regional development programme.
