Tenants in the Tottenham area of Haringey are up in arms about plans to demolish 100s of homes.
Residents are set to gather tonight to discuss ways of opposing Haringey Council's schemes.
The meeting follows last month's gathering, when 80 angry residents came together to talk about the demolitions.
Tenants claim that, to be helpful to private developers, the council is planning to introduce time-limited tenancies, with near-market rents - which will lead to higher house prices and rents and will drive local people and their children out of the area.
The protestors are trying to organise protests against demolitions on the following estates:
Tunnel Gardens, Park Grove, and Durnsford Road in Bounds Green, Barbara Hucklesbury Close in Wood Green, Helston Court and Turner Avenue in South Tottenham, the Love Lane estate in North Tottenham, Imperial Wharf, Leabank View and Lemsford Close by the River Lea, Tangmere House at Broadwater Farm, Larkspur Close in White Hart Lane, and Northumberland Park.
The meeting will start at 7.00 pm tonight at St Paul's Church Hall, 60 Park Lane.
