Health and Enterprise Ministers Visit Consilium

On 14th February, Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster and Health Minister Edwin Poots visited headquarters of Consilium in Belfast. The company extended the invitation to the ministers so they could learn more about Consilium's work in the UK, Europe and USA and about their recent launch into the healthcare market.
The company’s flagship product TotalMobile™ was recently been made available to the NHS and can improve efficiency, patient safety and care quality; ultimately saving the NHS money while doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals have the full communications support to spend more time with patients. The company were keen to discuss how TotalMobile™ can rise to the Nicholson challenge and achieve goals for improvement with Health Minister Edwin Poots. After almost 30 years experience in providing IT solutions to Local Government, healthcare is a new market sector and has the potential to grow the business and generate employment; the company were keen to share this with Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster.
The ministers were given a guided tour of the new headquarters. The company made the move to modern new offices in Belfast City Centre’s Clarendon Dock to accommodate business growth in November 2011. The ministers were then joined by the company directors to discuss TotalMobile™, the healthcare market, mobile technology in the NHS and Consilium's trade in the UK and beyond.
CEO Colin Reid said “2013 is set to be a big year for Consilium; we are continuing to grow our share of the Local Government sector and expect to gain a lot of traction in the healthcare market. It was pleasure to be able to discuss this with the ministers and hear their opinions. We’re looking forward to be part of big changes and improvements in the NHS and it’s fantastic to have the support of the Health Minister as it progresses.”
