Fife council employee Lorraine Clark will have a bigger audience than usual on Saturday. Lorraine will be the first female linesman at Ibrox for the Scottish third division game between fallen giants Rangers and Berwick Rangers.
Lorraine, an electrical engineer with Fife Council Property Services, is one of only three females on the senior list of referees in Scotland.
“I have always loved football and this is everything I have worked and aimed for over the last 10 years,” Lorraine said. “I am really excited to be involved in Saturday’s game and my ambition is to work in the SPL (Scottish Premier League). This is hopefully the next step.”
