Land Data announces winners of the 2012 Local Land Charges Awards for Excellence

Winners of the 2012 Land Data Local Land Charges Awards for Excellence were announced last night, 21st February at a ceremony held in Bristol.  The awards were presented at a dinner hosted by BBC journalist Justin Webb.

The national awards celebrate the work and achievements of local authority local land charges departments, which carry out land and property searches required for property transactions throughout England and Wales. 

The Awards were presented across six categories covering electronic service delivery, customer satisfaction, most improved NLIS service, best NLIS level 3 local land charges department, best NLIS level 2 local land charges department and  local land charges officer of the year. 

The 2012 winners:

-Electronic Service Delivery Champion

Winner:   Wealden District Council

Highly commended:  Castle Point Borough Council

-Customer Satisfaction for Local Authority Searches

Winner: West Devon Borough Council

Highly commended: Torridge District Council

-Most Improved NLIS Services

Winner: North East Derbyshire District Council

Highly commended: Lambeth London Borough Council

-Local Land Charges Officer of the Year

Winner: Amanda Harcourt, City of London Corporation

Highly commended: Lesley Wain, West Lindsey District Council

-Best Performing NLIS Level 3 Local Land Charges Department

Winner: Waveney District Council

Highly commended: South Somerset District Council

-Best Performing NLIS Level 2 Local Land Charges Department

Winner: Guildford Borough Council

Highly commended:  North Devon Council
