Published by mgamble91 for Capita Conferences in Local Government
With the Localism Bill introducing a radical shift to a more localised housing system and a review of existing social housing regulation, this is a critical time for the housing sector to embrace the changes and get to grips with new tenancies and a new regulator.
In his announcement the Housing Minister confirmed that in order to maintain lender’s confidence and protect taxpayers, proactive economic regulation should continue.
From April 2012, consumer and economic regulation functions will be transferred from theTenant Service Authority to the Homes and Communities Agency. Capita’s National Social Housing Regulation Conference is timed to provide crucial guidance to housing providers, local authorities and tenants on adapting to the new regulatory landscape, reinforcing the principles of co-regulation and understanding the new Value for Money (VfM) standards.
Attend this distinctive event to benefit from key strategic and practical sessions on:
• Strengthening in-house scrutiny and performance
• Improving and monitoring service provision at a local level
• Effectively resolving complaints locally
• The new enhanced role of the Housing Ombudsman Service
