A local homecare provider has earned a three-star rating in a
national service inspection.
Ridgeway Care won the seal of approval from the Care Quality
Commission (CQC), an independent regulator that inspects home,
hospital and residential care services.
The care provider was praised for its high standards and the
quality of training for care workers. Staff get training from the
moment they join and also attend regular workshops and on-the-job
training to keep their skills up-to-date.
CQC also praised Ridgeway Care for its thorough security checks
which means customers are cared for by people they can trust.
Care client Mrs Hilda Tuck said: “The carers are very are
very kind and thoughtful in every way, and they listen to
me.”
There are more than 5,000 registered home care providers in the UK
and only a fifth have achieved a three-star rating. Ridgeway Care
is the only three-star home care provider in Wiltshire's Kennet
area.
Ridgeway Care provides care to people in their own home every day
of the year. This includes personal care, such as washing and
dressing, child care, caring for unwell people, housekeeping,
shopping and collecting prescriptions. It has 60 care workers and
provides more than 950 hours of care each week in the Devizes &
Marlborough areas.
