Newport garden village
A 250-home garden village in Newport is under way. It will be built on 16 acres over the next four years.
Seren Group’s chief executive Amanda Davies said: "We are extremely excited to be working with our partners Lovell, Newport City Council and the Welsh government to bring this 21st century style garden village to Newport.
There’s a lot more to Loftus Garden Village than just affordable homes. In addition to creating employment and training opportunities for local people, Loftus Garden Village will be an inclusive community where people can thrive and feel proud to live and grow together."
Lovell aims to recycle at least 95 percent of the waste generated during the construction programme.
Representatives from the development team recently came together to 'sow the seeds' of the garden village. In the photo (L-to-R): Amanda Davies; councillors Paul Cockeram, Allan Morris, Roger Jeavons, Ken Critchley, John Richards; and Lovell’s David Gough.
The Seren Group provides affordable housing and support across South Wales and the west of England.
