Two members of staff from one of the UK's largest housing associations are set to feature in a BBC show.

Circle Housing Circle 33's Varinder Bharj and Laura Newey were filmed for 'Street Patrol UK' earlier this year as the pair came to the aid of tenants by tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) across North London.

They will appear on screen tomorrow in the new documentary series, which showcases the work of the country’s housing associations, councils and police forces in tackling ASB.

ASB manager Varinder Bharj said: “Whether it’s litter dropping, playing loud music or even threatening behaviour, ASB can cause misery to the people affected by it.

“At Circle Housing, we are fully committed to ensuring that all our residents have a safe place to live. By taking part in this series we hope to give residents affected by ASB the courage to take positive action against the perpetrators.”

In the past two years, Circle Housing Circle 33 has dealt with almost 500 incidents of ASB across Islington, Camden, Hackney and Haringey.

The series began today on BBC One and will run for three weeks.
