EDI Champions at the Indian Awareness Day
Staff at Trident Social Investment Group are celebrating after successfully achieving Leaders in Diversity – Stage 3, an accreditation that recognises excellence in Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI).
To receive this accreditation Trident’s Leaders had to demonstrate their commitment to this area; evidenced through the inclusive mechanisms in place for both staff and residents. This includes a very successful initiative called RED (Raising Equality & Diversity) Days, which raises awareness to staff of the diverse communities we live and work in.
Ann Rivera, Director of Organisational Development said:
“Achieving the Leaders in Diversity Stage 3 is recognition of the commitment from all at Trident Housing. We could not have achieved this without the contribution from the Executives on the Equality & Diversity Steering Group, the EDI Champions and every member of staff who go above and beyond their roles to deliver our social investment agenda.”
Christopher Derby, Head of Organisational Development and EDI Lead said:
“We are delighted to win this prestigious award. After only achieving stage 2 in December 2013 we had high hopes for moving up to stage 3. Accomplishing this accreditation so soon shows just how passionate the Group’s Leaders and staff are about EDI. I am proud of the work carried out so far and would like to thank my colleagues and staff, especially the newly formed EDI Champions, for their hard work and commitment to EDI and making this achievement possible.”
