Severn Vale Housing has taken over the management of a Sheltered Housing scheme in Cheltenham run by the National Association of Schoolmasters, Union of Women Teachers (NASUWT).
The scheme in Rushworth Close, Cheltenham includes 20 bungalows and 27 flats. The scheme was set up by NASUWT and provides a home for retired members (teachers and head-teachers) or their retired dependants.
Tenants live independently and there is a Scheme Manager on hand. There is also a communal lounge and recreation area so they can enjoy the company of other residents.
David Woolley, Elderly Services Manager at Severn Vale Housing, said “We are delighted to be taking over the management of the scheme and were very pleased so many of the tenants came to the welcome event we held to mark the start of our relationship.”
