Young Leaders Award 2014 - finalists announced Young Leaders Award 2014 - finalists announced

The finalists of this year's 24housing Young Leaders Award have been announced.

Katie Bond (Notting Hill Housing), Robin Moorcroft (Sanctuary Group), Joanne Miller (Daventry and District Housing), Richard Brooks (Herefordshire Housing) and Roxanne Bacon (New Charter) will battle it out for the 2014 title at the National Housing Federation annual conference in Birmingham next month where they will each deliver a 400-second ‘PechaKucha’ style presentation live on stage in front of hundreds of delegates.

Their passage to the final was secured after outstanding performances on semi-final day, held at the Federation's offices in London where they presented and debated their ideas to solve the housing crisis in the company of NHF chief David Orr.

24housing editor Jon Land said: "Congratulations to our final five for making it this far, it's a commendable achievement and they should be proud of themselves.

"Judging the semi-final was exceptionally tough and the judges were divided over who should go through. There's no doubt that the final is going to be a nerve-wracking prospect but we are confident that our finalists will be up to the challenge. We urge everyone going to the conference to support them on the day. They'll need your support."

The full report on this year's semi-final will be published in the September edition of 24housing.
