Newly merged housing association launches Newly merged housing association launches

This month has seen the launch of a newly merged housing association.

Formed last Friday, Crown Simmons Housing (CSH) came about following the merger of Rosemary Simmons and Crown Housing Associations.

The combined organisation owns and manages around 800 homes in Surrey, London and Sussex, providing services for over 1000 people.

Paul Yates, CSH chief executive, said: “I’m delighted that we’ve completed the merger to form a new organisation that is looking to achieve much more than either could have acting alone.

"Consolidation means that we can see through our exciting plans to improve services to our customers, to develop or acquire a number of new homes, and further extend our existing management services business.

"At a time when smaller housing providers have been criticised in some quarters for not using capacity and being risk averse, Crown Simmons Housing will be looking to buck the trend."

CSH manages a wide range of homes, including housing for the elderly, keyworker housing, general needs housing for families, couples and single people and leasehold accommodation.
