Forty-six new affordable homes at Tattenhoe Park

Completed homes at Tattenhoe Park, Milton Keynes
Housing association Guinness South has completed 12 apartments for affordable rent in Tattenhoe Park, Milton Keynes. The one and two-bedroom homes are the first of the 46-unit scheme which is due to be completed by March 2015.
Built without any grant and in partnership with Barratt Homes, David Wilson Homes and Milton Keynes Council, the new homes are spacious, airy units with gated car parking and generous balcony space and have been well received by the incoming residents.
“Being offered this property was as good as winning the lottery, it’s the only way I can describe it”, said new rental tenant Emily Sanders. “The size of the rooms is just brilliant, I’m so thrilled. It’s everything I could’ve hoped for.”
Stephen Olujide, Head of Development for Guinness South, said “We have a long and successful track record in Milton Keynes and these new homes at Tattenhoe Park are a perfect advert for demonstrating our continued commitment to the provision of good quality affordable housing. We’re very much looking forward to completing the further 34 properties for those in housing need.”
Hannah O’Neill, Cabinet Member for Housing at Milton Keynes Council said: “We are delighted with this development, which is well designed and of very good quality, as well as the fact that we received nomination rights to all 12 apartments. The people we nominated have been really pleased with their new homes and we are proud to be working in partnership with Guinness South.”
An identical block across the road from the 12 new Bronte Avenue apartments is due to be completed in October 2014. These, along with the remaining properties, will be made up of both apartments and houses, and will be available for shared ownership and affordable rent.
