Flea spraying service introduced Flea spraying service introduced

Magenta Living is introducing an in-house pesticide spraying service to deal with the unwanted problem of fleas in its properties.

The environmental services team is always looking at innovative ways to extend its portfolio of services, so having the capacity to fulfil pest control requirements will make a huge difference.

Four members of the Magenta Living team are now fully trained in the ‘safe use of pesticides’ and ‘insect control’ so they can carry out the necessary cleaning. Initially they will be working in recently vacated properties which will speed up the preparation process for new tenants.

Fleas are a common problem in homes especially where there are pets such as cats and dogs. When fleas appear, they pose health and safety risks, so it’s essential a pest control service is deployed.

Steve Painter, Void Valeting, Supervisor at Magenta Living says: “We are really delighted to be able to deliver this new service. It’s another string to our bow. The training was quite intense and technical but we were all thrilled to pass first time.”

This service was previously undertaken by an external pest control provider, but from August 4th, Magenta Living technicians will be equipped to cope with flea infestations swiftly.  This makes great business sense from an economical, efficiency and effectiveness perspective, and the long term plan is potentially to roll this service out at a reduced cost to tenants.
