Severnside Staff, Board and Customer representatives attend Respect & Responsibility Roadshow

Staff, Board Directors and customer representatives at Severnside Housing in Shrewsbury have attended a tailor-made ‘Respect & Responsibility Roadshow’ designed to ensure the company’s continued excellence for customer service delivery and to reinforce their core values which are, Integrity, Accountable, Fair, Respectful, Effective, and Partnership in an innovative way.

 The vibrant and interactive sessions, that were thought provoking, challenging and fun, were delivered by Theatre&; a national, award winning drama-based training company.

 Andy Parkes, Independent Severnside Board Director, has significant experience in promoting equality within large organisations and helped shape the programme for Severnside said “It was truly inspirational to see our staff, board and customers interact with the actors from Theatre& and engage in the process of learning that explored the importance of mutual respect and the personal responsibility that we all need to make Severnside an excellent organisation.”

 Helen Lorrimer, Training & Development Co-ordinator at Severnside said “Equality and Diversity is fundamental to our business to ensure we consider the diverse needs of our customers, staff and stakeholders and that we meet these needs wherever possible.  Feedback from participants has been really excellent.”

 Russell Watters from Theatre& commented “With our extensive experience delivering drama based training within the housing sector Theatre& were delighted to work with Severnside Housing to develop a values led equality and diversity programme for all their staff. The training used specially written scenarios, reflecting real life situations, and drama based training techniques to build confidence and understating around equality issues while positively reinforcing Severnside’s Values driven approach.”
