Young Leaders Experience 2014: Speakers unveiled Young Leaders Experience 2014: Speakers unveiled

The man responsible for branding the London 2012 Olympics and turning volunteers into 'Gamesmakers' has been secured as the keynote speaker for this year’s Young Leaders Experience.

Greg Nugent, former London 2012 director and co-founder of communications consultancy Inc. London, explained why he got on board with the event, curated by whg and 24housing.

“One of the many things London 2012 taught me was the power of harnessing other people’s energy and passion to deliver a single vision. By creating a brand people understood, then the customer service was improved and everyone came together. With housing so driven by customer service and customer involvement, I see the presentation as a chance to share how the sector can learn from my experience," he said.

“As a young leader myself I know how important it is to have good mentors and absorb the talent around you. It’s a great idea for an event and one I’m delighted to be part of.”

Greg will be joined at the two-day event by notable speakers from inside and outside of the housing sector. An interactive joint session by WISH and Bolt will take place on the first day, with a practical look at the importance of being an authentic leader and new ways of working.

Amongst the other names already confirmed are:

  • Alex Menhams, The Ideas Centre
  • Nick Atkin, Chief Executive, Halton Housing Trust
