Acis puts people first

Lincolnshire based housing provider Acis Group has announced that it has been successfully reaccredited as an Investor in People.
The highly acclaimed standard was awarded in recognition of the work we have done in valuing our people, and followed a two day review process by an Investor in People assessor which included interviewing a wide range of employees.
Investors in People helps businesses to enhance their performance through increasing the skills base of their employees and the quality of management needed in order to realise a company's full potential. By recognising the importance of their employees, organisations can develop their potential, improve their skills and gain greater job satisfaction.
A number of employees were interviewed to explain the part they play in the success of the organisation, what development activities they had been involved in and how they receive feedback on their performance from their manager, as well as how they manage others.
Stephen Hall, Head of HR for Acis, said: “This award is not easily achieved and is recognition that we are putting our people at the heart of all that we do. Putting people first is one of our strategic priorities and successful organisations are those that appreciate their employees and value the contribution they can make.
"By being given encouragement and praise, everyone within the organisation pulls together as a team, which obviously brings success. The feedback from the assessor was very positive and they could see a significant improvement since our last review in 2011.”
Acis, who own and manage over 5,500 homes across Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, was first accredited with the Investors in People standard in 2005.
