Soha Chief Executive Richard Peacock visits resident Sadie Quinton
Soha Housing closed its offices on Friday 4 July – but not to give staff a day off.
Instead, 90+ Housing Officers and support workers went out and about on a ‘Big Door Knock’. From Swindon in the West to Henley in the East and from the top boss down, Soha staff visited to listen to residents’ views on Soha and its services.
Richard Peacock, Chief Executive, seen here visiting tenant Miss Sadie Quinton at the Cholsey Meadows development, said, “It was really useful for all the company at once to get out and meet tenants. We heard how they feel about their community, as well as taking repairs requests, giving details of local facilities and talking about Soha services. All staff really enjoyed the day and there was a real buzz after the event.”
Mrs Charlotte Pangani of Henley told Soha officers who visited her that she was very pleased to be living where she does: “What I like about Soha is that they are very responsive when I have an enquiry and flexible when I need a repair. When the two staff visited me on Friday I got information about local waste collections which I didn’t know how to find out otherwise.”
