Riverside, one of Hull’s leading housing associations has helped out a local cricket club, providing them with new kit and equipment.
Bransholme & Kingswood Cricket Club successfully secured £1,000 from Riverside through their community chest fund which enabled them to purchase much needed equipment and shirts.
Steve Sewell said”We are really grateful for the funds from Riverside, the kit looks fantastic and we will certainly look the part in our forthcoming quarter final match.”
The Club plays in the York Conference League and are currently seventh in the league after their first nine games. Most of the players are from the North Bransholme area and the team are always looking to introduce new cricketers of all ages to the game.
Carl Mitchell, Riverside’s assistant director said “Riverside are committed to providing support to local community groups and this is another great example of local people getting involved in a sport to achieve a more active lifestyle. We wish the team well in their remaining games and in their quarter final next week.”
