Lee Carman has been appointed development and regeneration manager for north east housing association Four Housing.
Carman will oversee the creation of new schemes from initial plans through to completion and be responsible for the development of new homes in the south of the region, including Gateshead, Durham and Hartlepool.
He moves from his role within the housing provider’s care and repair arm, where he was responsible for a project management service offering assistance to older, disabled and vulnerable people including home improvements and adaptations.
Carman said: "There is a real need for more affordable housing in the region. I am looking forward to achieving the successful delivery of our existing housing programme and to getting started with our proposed housing plans for the future."
Four Housing owns and manages over 5,000 properties across the north east of England stretching from Redcar and Cleveland to Berwick-upon-Tweed.
