The Homes and Communities Agency has today confirmed the appointment of two new non-executive board members, following a "rigorous" selection process and the approval of the secretary of state, Eric Pickles.
Kevin Parry has held the roles of finance director of Schroders plc and partner at KPMG; while Niall Mills is currently a partner in the infrastructure investment business First State Investments.
HCA chairman Robert Napier said: “I’m delighted to welcome such strong candidates to these vitally important posts on our Board. We are increasing our capacity and capability not least to manage an increasingly complex portfolio of financial instruments, by building on the skills of our existing board.
"The wealth of experience in finance and investment that Kevin and Niall bring are particularly important in this area.”
Housing Minister Kris Hopkins said: “Neil Mills and Kevin Parry bring considerable commercial experience to their roles. Their appointment will strengthen the board at an important time for the housing market, with the agency playing a vital role in delivering the homes this country needs.”
Both appointments started yesterday. Ruth Thompson and Jane May have both stepped down from the HCA Board, on 31 May and 30 June respectively.
