Halton Housing Trust introduces ‘You’ to the LifeKit.

Halton Housing Trust customers are set to benefit from a newly launched section of the LifeKit, an online toolkit to provide customers with a wide range of relevant information, advice and support.
LifeKit, originally launched in January, is a one stop shop for customers providing advice, support and helpful tips for a number of different aspects of day to day life. This month the Trust launches a ‘You’ section, designed to inform customers on different topics of health and wellbeing.
The section provides a list of top tips to encourage customers to think about their current lifestyle and to consider ways in which they could be making healthier choices. By ensuring customers are well informed the Trust is hoping to empower customers to make proactive changes to their lifestyles. The Lifekit also offers users the opportunity to create digital to-do lists to encourage and support customers to make such changes. The online toolkit also fits in with the Trusts Digital First project which is enabling and encouraging customers to access the Trusts online services.
The idea behind the LifeKit is to bring together advice and guidance in one place with easy to manage sections to navigate around. As well as a You and Your Home section there are also sections such as Manage Your Money, Your Home, Your Job, Get Online and Save Money, offering customers the chance to live better and save money. The initial focus of the project was around money matters to help ease the transition into welfare reform; however the Trust recognizes that personal health is also an important part of successfully dealing with the upcoming changes.
Noel Sharpe, Executive Director for Customer Services said: “We wanted to offer a service for customers to help keep them informed on a range of relevant and current subjects. There are some big changes happening with Welfare Reform and we want to ensure that our customers are well informed and prepared. Supporting customers to make choices about their health and wellbeing is just part of preparing them for the changes. We felt an online toolkit would bring everything into one place and be easily accessible at a time when our customers most need it. LifeKit made perfect sense. We are really pleased with the outcome and know our customers will make great use of it.”
