Study to consider higher housing numbers in West Midlands
Longhurst Group completed more than eight new homes every week on average in 2013-14, delivering 436 new homes in 12 months.
The independent provider of housing, care and support services in the Midlands and East of England publishes its annual report today.
"Our purpose has always been to provide homes for those who need them, although our definition of need has changed over the years. Having witnessed the impact of the housing crisis in the Midlands it’s clear that families, first time buyers and people looking for a place to live independently in later life are all struggling to find what they need," Longhurst chief executive Bob Walder said.
"We've diversified our development programme to include homes available for market rent and sale, as well as affordable home ownership and rent options; that’s why at Longhurst Group we can confidently say that we help someone to find the right home every day."
