Not content to be one of the main sponsors of  the Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland Coast to Coast two day cycle ride, four staff at Eden Housing Association have been training to reach peak fitness to take part in this weekend’s 140 mile challenge.

John Clasper MD said “in 2012 we shared our 15th anniversary with Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland; we share similar core values and are both working n to support choice and independence across the same geographic region. This realisation really brought our two organisations closer together with our key areas of common expertise, rurality, support and localness - we had no hesitation in becoming a business partner.

Two years on we felt it was time to do something more so we became one of three key sponsors (with A W Jenkinson and Waitings) for this year’s C2C event which really triggered talk about who, at Eden Housing Association was fit for the challenge.  Our team of four has varied experience but we are seeing it very much as a team effort.”

The team comprises of four members of staff from across the Association and includes the Association’s Managing Director John Clasper, two Housing Officers Vicky Mark and Katie Furness and Asset Management Team Leader Jimmy Campbell.

The team has had limited training time together, but are ready for the challenge and are raising sponsorship money which also includes a donation page:
