Come to the circus!

Roll up, roll up! The circus is on its way to the Forest, and Two Rivers tenants are invited to join in the fun.
Juggling, plate-spinning and stilt-walking are just a few of the skills they could learn at the four events to run over the summer, giving tenants and their families a great, free afternoon out.
“We like to provide free entertainment for our tenants twice a year, and they’re always very popular,” explained Emma Towler, Community Involvement Co-ordinator. “Last summer the swimming, cycling and football training events were a real hit and we wanted to find something equally appealing for people of all ages.
“We’re certain the circus skills workshops will tempt young and old to give it a try, as there really is something for everyone. And when they need a break, the barbecue will be ready to recharge their batteries, ready for the next challenge.”
Cinderford-based Engage Circus will be providing the necessary guidance and encouragement on four occasions:
- Newent (Two Rivers office): Saturday 19 July, 11am – 2pm.
- Sedbury Village Hall: Friday 25 July, 2 – 4pm.
- Cinderford Rugby Club: Thursday 7 August, 2 – 4pm.
- Coalway Recreation Ground, Coleford: Thursday 21 August, 2 – 4pm.
Meanwhile, older tenants who live in the Two Rivers’ HomePlus schemes will be pitting their wits against each other and exercising their grey matter in a competitive summer quiz.
Heats will be held in Lydney, Cinderford, Coleford and Dymock throughout July, with the final being held at the end of the month at the Two Rivers office in Newent with the incentive of a prize on offer for the winning team.
