New chair for social landlord's board New chair for social landlord's board

Social landlord Bromford has appointed a new chair for its board.

Jonathan Simpson-Dent has been made chair designate ahead of the incumbent Tony Crawford’s retirement early next year.

Jonathan, 47, is managing director of Cardtronics Europe, the UK and German subsidiary of global ATM operator Cardtronics, a business listed on the NASDAQ stock market.

Having qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse Coopers, he has held chief finance officer roles in a range of sectors and organisations, including PepsiCo, General Healthcare Group and Homeserve PLC.

Having been a non-executive director with Bromford since April 2012, Jonathan is passionate about Bromford’s aims of inspiring people to be the best they can be.

He said: “I am thrilled and honoured to be awarded this position and am looking forward to a bright future, building on the progress and development that Bromford has achieved under Tony’s stewardship.”

Bromford's chief executive, Mick Kent, said: “It’s great to see that the ‘Grow Your Own’ approach we use for other colleagues has worked so well at board level too. I know Jonathan will bring his wealth of commercial expertise to the role of Chair as well as his personal commitment to our social purpose and everything we seek to achieve through the Bromford Deal.”

Bromford owns and manages over 27,000 homes across the Midlands.
