A pub popular with fans of Premier League football team Tottenham Hotspur has 24 hours to be saved.
Last year, developers bought The Antwerp Arms in Haringey from owners Enterprise Inns - with the intention of turning it into housing.
But The Antwerp Arms Association is fighting to preserve the pub - which sits within 200 metres of Spurs' White Hart Lane stadium - by buying it.
The group of local residents has the right to buy the establishment - but the deadline to make a purchase comes tomorrow!
Though The AAA has raised £106,240 so far, group treasurer Ian McLaren claims that another £20,000 is needed to save the pub.
Mr Mclaren said: “It’s vital that we save it. The Antwerp Arms is the only pub in the area and is a brilliant location, between Bruce Castle Park and the football ground. Locals and Spurs fans all need the pub.”
Ellie Kershaw, the trust’s secretary, said: “The Antwerp Arms is a nice, friendly pub that is not only important to us on match days but hugely important to the community overall.”
A temporary leaseholder is currently in control of the pub. The AAA says it is in the process of writing a business plan and obtaining professional advice for the purchase.
