A re-development project has begun in Stratford upon Avon with the demolition of 12 homes at Woodlands Road in order to make way for 15 new three and four bedroom homes including two bungalows.
The project, which received £500,000 funding from the Homes and Communities Agency, is being led by Orbit Homes in partnership with Thomas Vale Construction. Upon completion, Orbit Heart of England will take ownership of the homes and will be responsible for their on-going management.
Lyndsey Grant, a Woodlands Road resident for the past seven years, said: “I’m very excited about my new home and I can’t wait to get moved in. I’ve lived here for several years now and, with my family living close by, it’s nice to see a ‘refresh’ of the area.”
Kay Godfrey, Orbit Heart of England Community Housing Officer added: “It’s a pleasure to be involved in projects like this which have such a positive impact on people’s lives. This re-development will provide a variety of much-needed affordable homes to suit the requirements of both families and individuals within the area.”
