A Cornwall-based housing association has launched a funding portal aimed at helping its customers back into work or training.

Coastline Housing's Inspiring Futures programme offers a range of support, training, funding, employment opportunities and volunteering opportunities to its tenants.

Those using the scheme will also have access to an online funding portal where they will be able to gain access to thousands of grants, scholarships and bursaries from government, charitable trusts, universities, colleges and local funding providers.

Coastline’s Nicki Highton said: “This is the first time nationally that access to a portal such as this has been offered to housing association customers so we’re especially excited about the opportunities it will bring to local people.

"Sometimes the barriers people face when they want to get back into training include things like covering childcare and travel costs as well as the course fees themselves. The funding streams that can be accessed through this portal offer help for these sorts of costs, and more.
