About the event
CIH Caretakers and Estate Managers Conference & Exhibition is a bespoke national two day conference for anyone involved in the management and delivery of estate services.
Universal credit has introduced the concept of customers paying their rent directly to their housing provider. As a result the services they provide have come under the microscope by tenants ensuring they are receiving the best value for money. Estate services is just one of the services that directly impacts on resident satisfaction, and will therefore be increasingly under analysis. As organisations debate the issue of quality versus cost, this event will examine how to create cost efficiencies without impacting on service delivery.
Tenant scrutiny has increased transparency and made landlords truly accountable which puts tenants at the heart of shaping services. By attending this event delegates will discover how to work effectively with resident panels and use the recommendations they make to improve the quality of the service they deliver and create cost efficiencies.
One year on from the Social Value Act becoming law, hear practical ways that an organisation has considered the social and environmental value when procuring contracts. The conference will provide delegates with an insight into how this has benefited both the organisation and the local community.
Practical workshops will tackle issues regularly encountered by front line housing staff including dealing with challenging behaviour, preventing graffiti, drugs litter, health and safety, parking enforcement plus offer many more informative case study examples.
Delegates will receive practical advice on how to overcome these challenges, from organisations that have developed best practice in these areas. Speakers will also share their approach to directly engaging tenants in estate services and increasing employment in their local communities.
Experts will deliver informative keynote sessions and practitioners will deliver a range of workshops.
This is the perfect opportunity to hear how other organisations are tackling everyday challenges whilst networking with other estate service staff.
