New flower beds for Harrison Road

In a major development for residents of Harrison Road, the 'Adlington in Bloom' group has received funding from Chorley Community Housing (CCH) Neighbourhood Fund to create new flower beds and brighten up the Lancashire area.
Work on the beds started last year and they now contain a blossom tree, daffodils "and a variety of other flowers", CCH said.
CCH neighbourhood development officer Samantha Hornsby said: "It’s great to see the end result of all the hard work. The Adlington in Bloom group have really changed the look of the gardens here and the residents are really happy."
Evelyn Norris, a resident at the bungalows which look out on the flower beds, said: "I have been a resident here for 27 years and this has made a real difference to us all."
