HCA awards post-sales service contract to Metropolitan Home Ownership

HCA announces new HomeBuy Agents for 2009-2011
Metropolitan has won a two-year contract from the Homes and Communities Agency to deliver after-sale services to people who bought their homes with the help of a government-backed shared equity loan such as the Help to Buy scheme.
The Metropolitan Home Ownership (MHO) team will work on behalf of the HCA as a virtual one-stop shop for post sales enquiries and administration. The team will manage transactions, including loan repayment and fee collection, remortgages and change of ownership, for all HCA-funded equity loan homeowners in England.
The National Post Sales Agent service, which will replace the current National HomeBuy Agent service provided by MHO since 2007, starts this month. The contract covers a portfolio of home ownership products including Help to Buy, First Time Buyers Initiative, HomeBuy Direct and FirstBuy.
MHO director Bernie Conroy said: "We are delighted to have the opportunity to build upon the work we have done in the past five years as National HomeBuy Agent improving the service for customers. Winning this new contract is a testament to the efforts of our Home Ownership team in delivering an excellent service to position us for future business."
HCA head of affordable housing Fiona MacGregor said the contract "will build on the high quality service Metropolitan have provided to date. We look forward to working with them."
