After 6 years in the role, Brian Ashfield is retiring as Chair of Equity Housing Group. Equity recently marked the occasion at their Employee Conference, where Manchester City legend Shaun Goater presented lifelong City fan Brian, with a farewell gift.
Shaun said; “Manchester City is a club that does a huge amount of work to support local people and local communities. So I was delighted to be here today to meet someone who is not just a fanatical City supporter but someone for whom people local communities is also very important.”
Over the last 6 years Equity has gone from strength to strength. It has been transformed into a Top 40 Social Housing landlord, been named as one of the Top 50 Affordable House Developers in the UK and identified as One to Watch in the Times Best Companies Survey 2014. The Group has also just launched its exciting new 2020 vision for the future.
Brian hopes to retain his connection with Equity in an ambassadorial way through the Equity Community Foundation in the future, as well as maintaining his sporting links.
