24housing magazine is delighted to announce the 20 shortlisted candidates for this year’s Young Leaders Award.
Over the next three weeks, readers are invited to vote for who they think deserves to qualify for this year’s semi-final day at the National Housing Federation’s head office in London on Thursday, 17 July.
There are 10 places available at the roundtable event where candidates will take part in what we hope will be a heated, badtempered debate between themselves and this year’s judges – including NHF chief executive David Orr.
Five will make it through to this year’s final, which is being staged live in front of hundreds of delegates at the NHF annual conference in September.
The 2014 Young Leaders Award has proved more popular than ever with nearly 100 entries from housing organisations across the UK.
24housing editor Jon Land said: “Given the standard of entries this year, to make the top 20 shortlist is an achievement in itself. Many thanks to everyone who got involved – if this competition is anything to go by, the future for housing is looking very rosy.”
Testimonials explaining why the candidates have been nominated, their achievements and leadership potential are detailed on the 24housing website. To find out more and to cast your vote, click here.
Voting is open until Friday, 23 May and the 10 semi-finalists will be revealed in the June edition of 24housing. So, without further ado, here are our 20 candidates. The rest is up to you!
