Over 500 residents were welcomed to their new homes during a 'block party' at London's East Village.
Held by Triathlon Homes and Get Living London, the event took place at Ulysses Place within the development.
With over 360 new homes recently occupied, the event provided an opportunity for residents to meet their new neighbours.
Residents got the chance to participate in football skills with West Ham, cooking classes with Jamie’s Ministry of Food and DJ sessions with Reprezent Radio 107.3FM.
Music acts, dance performers and a BBQ were also laid on.
Tim Lovett, community development manager for Triathlon Homes, said: “There was a strong appetite for people to meet their new neighbours in the community, especially from families who were keen to meet with each other and learn more about what’s on offer to them. This event was a great way to do exactly that and it was brilliant to see so many new residents getting stuck into Village life.”
Intermediate market rent homes from £310 per week are still available at the development – a 20% reduction on average market rate rents.
One resident said: “The event was a great way to get to know my new neighbours - it’s really exciting being part of a brand new neighbourhood. Not only have I got a beautiful spacious new home but a great new community to share the experience with too. The next thing I want to do is try out the Olympic sports facilities.”
