X-Factor finalist Jonjo Kerr has lent his support to a housing provider's neighbourhood fund.
Chorley Community Housing is currently inviting bids for its £50,000 fund.
Mr Kerr's is encouraging anyone who has an idea on how the cash could be put to good use to contact CCH.
The ex-soldier said: “CCH’s neighbourhood fund is a great support for new or established projects in the Chorley area.
"It’s really easy to apply and can be used for a number of things including events, activities, equipment, venue hire, training sessions and more. Anyone who has an idea should get in touch with CCH before the 2nd May deadline for applications.”
Now in its fifth year, the fund is open to individuals, residents groups, community groups, charitable organisations and social enterprises working in and around areas where CCH has homes.
Projects previously supported have included arts and drama groups, community safety projects, improvements to and equipment for community facilities, grot spot clearances and activities for young people.
Chris Richardson, CCH's community engagement manager, said: “There is still time for people to get their bids to us. All you need is a good idea for how the fund could be put to use in Chorley. Even you are unsure on how to bid or need help filling out an application form we have a team of staff who are happy to offer help and advice right up to deadline day.”
