After almost 10 years of providing affordable social housing for communities across the Wirral, housing association Magenta Living is expanding into a new area for the first time.
The social landlord has been given permission for a new mixed housing development on a site in Ellesmere Port - which it says will create jobs and regeneration for the community.
The 12,000-home provider chose the site due to its "picturesque location", with canal side views.
The scheme will deliver 46 homes; nine one-bed flats, 15 two bed-flats and 22 two-bed houses.
Steve Eaves, Magenta's assistant director of development, said: “This development is incredibly significant to the team here at Magenta Living. It’s our first, but undoubtedly not our last, project outside of our usual area remit. Earmarked to cost £4.4 million, Crescent Road will be another flagship development and we are proud to be making a difference to the Ellesmere Port community."
CEO Brian Simpson added: “Crescent Road is a pioneering opportunity for us; it’s enabling us to broaden our horizons in the affordable housing arena.”
