Celebrations for CGA's Communications Action Group
Community Gateway Association members and colleagues are celebrating a successful day at the Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) Northern Final in Manchester on Friday 11 April.
The TPAS awards recognise tenants who go the extra mile, it supports landlords and tenants who work together and great ideas that show what can be achieved when people are truly involved
Shortlisted in four categories hopes were high and fingers were crossed.
After a fantastic performance and inspirational talk from X-Factor contestant Ashley John-Baptiste it was time for the awards.
For the second year running CGA’s Annual Report, Communities took the top spot in the Excellence in Annual Reports category. (sponsored by ConnectIn Housing)
"Inspire People Inspired Communities"was a first for the organisation as it focussed heavily on the social value aspects that CGA’s actions have across communities in Preston.
As the UK’s first social housing provider to follow the principles of the Community Gateway model, CGA prides itself on being a membership led organisation with tenants and residents at the heart of everything it does.
David Yates Chair of the Gateway Tenants’ Committee and Communications Action Group said “I am honoured to accept this award on behalf of our tenants and members.
I would like to thank every member of our Communications Action Group and our Communications team, who put a lot of commitment, passion and time in ensuring our report met its requirements and purpose.
To win this award for the second year running is an outstanding achievement, I am extremely proud to have been a part of this project that has delivered a report that is truly tenant led”
