Demolition work has started on Heaths Houses in Shrewsbury, a former sheltered housing scheme, on Thursday 3rd April at 10.30am to make way for an exciting development of 41 new homes. The redevelopment, with a contract value of nearly £4m, will provide 32 flats and 9 houses for social and market rent, shared ownership and open market sale. The demolition works mark the start of an 18 month build programme.
Sepp Sargeant, Head of Investment Services at Severnside said “We are extremely proud to be partnering with SJ Roberts Construction Ltd to build these high quality homes in this historical Abbey Foregate area of Shrewsbury. This is a significant redevelopment project for Severnside as it will be our first venture into building homes for sale on the open market.”
Michael Sambrook, Managing Director, SJ Roberts Construction Ltd added “We are delighted to be working with Severnside Housing on this very prestigious project. We look forward to providing the homes that this site deserves, being one of the main gateways into Shrewsbury and will endeavour to include the local community and schools during the build process."
