Repair 1st holds first ‘One Stop Shop’ event

In March, Repair 1st held its first ‘One Stop Shop’ event in Brinnington where customers met Stockport Homes’ Heads of Service in person to discuss any issues with repairs or improvements to their homes.
The Repair 1st ‘One Stop Shop’ event was an informal, flexible way for Stockport Homes’ customers to become involved in shaping services and a place for customers to voice their views with other customers.
New customers could also attend a welcome meeting, which provided advice and support relating to Stockport Homes’ repairs service and the customers new home.
Christine Woolridge, Stockport Homes’ customer, said, “The ‘One Stop Shop’ event was a good idea as it enabled customers to meet the different managers at Stockport Homes. I personally was able to speak to Karl Colyer on a grievance I had had about an ongoing repair for which I probably would not have normally done.”
Irene Jenks, Stockport Homes’ customer, said, “It was brilliant! It was lovely to meet people face-to-face.”
Mark Halstead, Customer and Community Manager, Repair 1st, said, “The Repair 1st ‘One Stop Shop’ event was a great opportunity for staff and customers to meet face-to-face. It was a great success, with 92 per cent of customers happy with the event. We will be holding more events across the Borough over the next year, so watch this space for details!”
